Mac finally rode a horse. He's been talking about it for months. He loves going to his friend Brennan's house to visit the horses, and has gotten slightly more comfortable with them, but I really thought he just liked the idea of riding a real horse, and that he wouldn't actually do it. Lee Farms is a pumpkin farm near our house. After a failed attempt to ride the ponies there this summer (we went - no ponies until October!), I was determined he would at lease get the chance to try. So Saturday, we went. They had the ponies. Mac said he would ride, if he could ride the white one named Bubblegum (a story for another time). Thankfully, there was one white horse, and the lady said Mac could call him Bubblegum (but her name was actually Misty). I bought some tickets, and Mac confidently walked up to the horse and let the lady put him on! When I asked him if he wanted me to walk next to him or if he wanted to do it himself, he told me he'd do it himself. wow! So Curt, Addie and I watched from outside the fence. Later, Mac told us he'd like to ride the ponies again, "a brown one this time!" So we got some more tickets, and he rode a brown one. Curt said the look on Mac's face was "No big deal. I ride horses all the time!" So cute.
